ANGEL FROM PARK CITY
There’s an angel from Park City
And it’s hell to say her name
We met at Turquoise Corner
On the banks of the St.Vrain
She had eyes as big as boulders
And she sang just like the birds
I listen to her love songs
And I hung on every word.
I hoped deep down that maybe she was singing them for me
But she’s got a man in Utah
So some things….
Can never be
And she sang
Well we hid down by the river
Sang of stars by different names
We talked of where we come from
Different, but the same
So I asked if she was taken
If those love songs were for me
She broke my heart right there in the dark
And then…..
She made it sing
And we sang
Well I’ll see her here this time next year
And maybe things will change
I hope the words are different
But the song….
Remains the same
Shadows and sounds dancing all around
Stars in the sky and dirt on the ground
If music is love, we made such a sweet sweet sound
And we sang
